The B-100 is IP68 rated. The IP rating is referring to the scale’s level of protection. The first digit (e.g. ‘6’) refers to scale’s protection to dust. The second digit (in this case ‘8’) denotes the level of protection against water and other liquids.

IP65 rated scales are protected against moisture when wiped down with a damp cloth. Scales which are IP67 are splash proof, protected against moisture and can be washed down. IP68 scales, like the B-100, are waterproof and can survive in punishing environments. More information can be found here.
